Ended up in Reading today, a major town about 20 miles away. It’s a while since I’ve been there and visited the Oracle Shopping Centre, which is quite impressive.

The shopping area and the car park are separated by a waterway, which is overlooked by many eating houses and towards one end is the dynamic ‘Vue’ cinema.

I was equally pleased that all this is adjacent to the original High Street, which is still pretty busy with trade. We may complain at modern shopping malls but this one really is a delight.
