April 27 2005:
Tyres

Yesterday, I felt I had three PAD’s which were all worthy, yet today I struggled to find one!
We’ve certainly had April Showers today, laced with thunder and lightning too. Then around 4pm, it cleared and fresh air came in to make it all worth waiting for.

Photoshop:
Cropped and Resized
Converted to Grayscale
Duotoned using Pantone Black 7C
Adjusted in Curves

Last year I was ‘Caught Reading’

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel
1/400s f/7.1 at 31.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I love the texture in the tyres, not to mention the cool angle

Great shot Ray and the B+W processing is excellent.

The cant on this is excellent. The conversion to B&W brings attention to the form and shadows. Excellent abstract.

Tractor tyres are cool! Do you always Duotone black for B&W's? I'm never satisfied with my blacks. This is superb contrast.

I agree, it's so nice when you've got two or three pics to choose from. I like this though, unusual, and with excellent detail.

I hate it when that happens. You can fill a whole gallery one day, but then because you are a PaD purist, you've got to get another shot the next day.
This one is actually very cool though, a great geometrical and richly textured abstract.
