Today and tomorrow, the Watercress Line has a ‘War on the Line’ weekend, where scenes from 1944 are recreated. Many passengers were dressed in 1940’s garb, whether that be military or civilian, and I was really impressed by the efforts of so many people that gave the railway such an authentic feel.
When I saw this lady, I knew she had to be my PaD, but I had envisaged showing her in black and white to suit the era. But that did not work, partly because of the strong sunlight.
I took many pictures today and will create a gallery of the day as time permits.
