June 6 2004:
A Forgotten Life

St John's, Surrey

One wonders who Hetty would have become had she lived to enjoy childhood and entered adulthood.

I don’t know who this child was, or her family, but it makes you think.

Fantastic finish on this. Not quite black and white. Very very nice.

Beautifully done, Ray!

Very nicely executed. The young ones are always so sad, especially around the holidays, as Hetty was.

This is really nice, Ray. I find graveyards fascinating but it's difficult (well,I find it difficult) to capture their atmosphere...you've done that really well.

I like how when you desaturated the gravestone, that you kept just a hint of the green showing its age, and highlighted the text with the blue . . nice subtle, enhancing touches!

Really a lovely shot commemorating a sad event. Your soft color tone choices are perfect for this mood as well, and quite intriguing to look at.

Treatment is superb. Yes whilst visiting cemetary I have too seen the dates of life and death wondered what had caused such a early demise. Very sad it is.

Very sad, Ray! Makes me wonder why this thing happens.
