It’s a Public Holiday here in Britain, and true to tradition the weather, at least in the south, has not been at its best to say the least. Many outdoor events in south east England have either been poorly attended or in a few cases cancelled as people decided not to get wet.
But mid afternoon, the sun shone through and I took out to drive out on unusually clear roads. I just navigated by the seat of my pants, taking any lane that took my fancy. So here we are near Old Burghclere, south of Newbury in Berkshire. Who could resist a tree like this?
