This looks strange to me, but at the back of my mind I seemed to remember that I'd seen fountains in old pics. See this 1910 pic http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/photo_database/photodb_detail.asp?Counter=11709 That's the Clock House in the background.

I assume from the Popp's sign that this is Frogmoor? (It was a newsagent for decades). Cannot imagine it with fountains.
