March 10 2004:
Artistic Licence

Hope I don't get too much stick from this set-up. Its not meant to be particularly accurate but I can see I've placed the Emerald Isle rather too far south and of course they do not use the UK currency in the Republic, especially as it has the Queen's head on!
Still, it was a bit of fun as I seem to have accumulated a fair amount of loose change recently. I have to use it for something!
Oh yeah, our coins aren't really this colour either...

Rule Britania! Shouldn't it be one of the pink bits? Cool shot!

A very creative idea which is well-executed. I love it!

Mark,
Cornwall I'm afraid, is represented by just a penny coin, and is in the far south western corner of England, on a peninsular. In the middle of Britain you will see a brighter £2 coin with rings, and this is somewhere near Ian with John the next coin up. ~~~Ray.

Very cool Ray. Is Cornwall represented by the proper, high value coin? I have no idea of the value of any of these.

Is Penny Lane on this map?

Good one Ray.

You should have thrown a bucket of water over it to make it more realistic!

verrrrrrrrrrry clever and very nicely done. I'm thinking though... shouldn't you have hued it green rather than blue or would that have just been too darn obvious?
Linda Vich11-Mar-2004 03:30
What a cool idea, Ray! What made you decide on the blue tone for the Emerald Isle?

Cool! Very nice indeed. Love the colors you used for that. Great shot.

And you used your artistic licence well. Very creative. Although I am disappointed that this is not the real color of your currency.
jeanb10-Mar-2004 20:46
That is very creative Ray. I especially like the blue lighting - or did you play with the colouring?

I nearly said "What is it?" but I can see it now... It's Noddy chasing Big Ears - Nice!
Franziska Lang10-Mar-2004 20:25

Brilliant idea Ray - extremely well done.
Wonder if you can afford to show us the whole world this way , or if we should send you our own currency for you to make it truly global and international :-)
