Close up of the plaque attached to the castle ruins. It seems that in 1885, the town bought the council bought the castle and its surrounding grounds from a private owner, and it's now a public park.

Out of shot, but all the Councillors and Aldermen made sure that they'd be remembered for ever and ever too.
