Guildford, Surrey
Guildford has a few interesting buildings, but this is maybe my favourite. It was built in the 1901 for the fledgling Dennis business who at that time were making light vehicles such as ambulances. In 1917, the building was sold to the Rodboro Boot and Shoe Company.
In more recent times, after lying empty for quite some time, the ground floor became has become a J.D. Wetherspoon pub, a chain only formed in 1979. Wetherspoon's are well known for often using unconventional locations such as these, and have a strict "no TV and music" policy so you can have a conversation over your drink!
On a Friday night, this road crossing is always busy, the railway station and nightclub being very near, and the town centre being right behind me.
