I hear you Jeff and somedays I agree and somedays I don't. I think what bothers me about the swing image is the bright colors of the swings. I could change that I guess.

I'd hate to disagree with your decision, but I'd go with the swings. I think the meaning is more powerful with the mesage of "empty swings." I think the left image is not as obvious. Plus, from a purely aestetic (sp?) point of view, I like the repeating patterns and colors of the swing shot.

ok...i made the executive decision to boot this one from the project because it's too weak as a diptych....I think the image on the left is much stronger on it's own. The diptych seems to be missing something where the stand alone image feels complete to me.

Perfect tittle for perfect images!

i'm kind of torn with this one....in a few ways. First I'm not sure the diptych is effective as say the image on the left by itself....or maybe it should be the right by itself. Also, the title seems to be falling short for me...this morning I was thinking "joy's absence"...not sure....still living with this one for a bit.

Very easy photos to like and enjoy if you know what I mean. Actually fits very well in the sequence of images, as this kinda gives a bit of a chance to catch a breath after the last two. The message here is loud and clear - but not overdone. Absolutely love the colours and the stillness of the swings and I think the diptych is the perfect choice to ensure that it compliements "still" very well without replicating it. A great addition and of course, voted.

I like the 2nd... Great perspective, colors and DOF.

You know I like this one. Great diptych, color, tones and . . . meaning. A great series keeps on going.
