Beautiful shot. The GSL looks best from the air! It's nice having a visitor's interpretation of our local sights.

Hi Mark,
I know this looks like a close-up macro shot, but it was taken flying about 4000 feet over the Salt Lake shortly before landing at SLC. They seem to put water in large pans and allow evaporation to create the salt. I guess the red color is caused by impurites that get concentrated as the water evaporates.
