All pictures of earth from space that NASA makes public always fascinate me, I think that to look at ourselves, our cities and its surrounding from bird's eyes view makes us realize that how small, interrelated we all are in this vast universe, sharing this tiny but beautiful planet all together and your unique photographs offer such a fresh perspective to my belief. Nice aerial images! I know forst hand how difficult it can be to get decent shots from above, especially with a low winged a/c. My bestaerial images have been shot from a Cessna with the window open, so as not to shoot through plexi. Thanks for sharing these photos! cheers and happy landings! -sm

I love these aerial photos. I have always wanted to do this myself, but it was never in the cards, and now I have a big fear of flying. But you are so lucky to have been able to get these great shots. I don't understand how you can fly and shoot pictures at the same time. Be safe. And thanks again for all of these fabulous shots. Wow - yes I wish I could fly! Spent the last 16 months weekly shuttling manchester to Edinburgh... The BA turbo prop is the best for views as it flies low. Keep shooting. Let me know if you're passing Chester.

Thanks for your comments. Lake Power is remarkably beautiful. It's a bit frightening flying over it because there are other tourists flying around. Thanks too for naming the other places - as a British tourist, I'm often not certain what I'm flying over. Alan

Wonderful pictures! Would love to see more of Lake Powell, we have not been there in several years but the pictures bring back great memories.... The factory shot looks like the Standard Oil Refinery in El Segundo, California and the pier is the Manhatten Beach Pier, Manhatten Beach, California.
