Christmas-spirit??

Well ,I've been reviewing my pad's and found myself to be one of those "everything is perfect"
and "just listen to me I know all the tricks to being a great parent"
Ok I'm far from either of those. Opinionated?yes , Always right?.............n....n.n......NO
(hard to say sometimes)

See in the photo above my youngest son and his best friend-cousin
in the middle of a discussion about whose turn it is.
I have tried to learn not to take their disobedience personally
and to take it as a opportunity to teach
(ha ha here I go again, sometimes I use it as a reason to pop a blood vessel
or keep my right arm in shape swinging a wooden "persuader")
Cristi put a mom ban on metal ones

She takes a different approach and grounds them from things they like.
We got a Wii for all 5 of us(it counted as 1 of their 3 gifts)
and Cristi was explaining how she could and would ground them from the Wii.
She told the boys during one of their altercations(and I quote)"If you can't get along your Wii is going to get cut off"
They didn't get it but we were snickering under our breath.

All in all a great Christmas for us and for you too I hope.

Until I read the story, I would have thought this was some deep romantic moment.
Beautiful light, even if the scene itself was a little hard to watch. ;)

What a timeless shot. Great lighting and even better expressions. Fantastic.
