birds-of-a-feather the addiction

Finished a long trip to Mexico, driving back home from Houston
Haven't seen my family in a week I'm tired to the bone

My dang peripheral vision senses a coming sunset
Not an ordinary one but one filled with orange and blue
Suddenly energized, my focus leaves my drive, fatigue ,family, etc.
and turns to finding a spot for the picture.
I was around Lake Livingston and even with my laptop gps(better that cars its a delorme)
I didnt make it to the water for the sinking of the sun.
This isnt my personal best but I found a road to the lake in time to get this before it got too dark.
I mean I cleared the trees and was staring at this scene.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Maybe not your personal best but pretty good if you ask me. I love nights like that.

This is stunning! The colors and the silhouette of the tree and birds... it all works!

Great collection of things in one frame.
Love the colors in the sky.
