Cristi and I took her mom to a play and left the kids with her dad
(we would have gotten a babysitter but Patrick has had the stomach flu)
It's okay to expose grandpa instead of the babysitter.
When we got home , he told us he was getting the kids ready for bed,
and Patrick says"I need a bowl and a towel "
Grandpa told him that we would be home soon and Patrick repeated
"I just need a bowl and a towel grandpa"
At 9:30, we called to check in. Grandpa said that when the phone rang,
Olivia walked in and said "I hate babysitters!" He asked "why Olivia?"
She said,"everytime the phone rings when Mom & Dad are gone I think
they might have been killed in a car wreck and I'm stuck here with a babysitter!"
He assured her that everything was fine and she smiled, shrugged and went right back to sleep.
