My mother mustered all her meager
strength to participate in the annual wheelchair races; she
truly was wired for the event and won two times.
She received a certificate for being the "Champion of Women."
The next day Mom was "spent," but we relished in the memories of the day before.
(She was racing against women and men who had both arms and legs.)
