"The End" is a song composed by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon/McCartney)
for the album Abbey Road. It was the last song recorded collectively by all four of The Beatles, and
is the final song of the medley that dominates side two of the LP version of the album.
It is reported that Paul said he was following the Bard (Shakespeare) by ending with a couplet.
Each member of the Beatles has a solo during the song including Ringo on the drums.
Oh yeah, all right
Are you going to be in my dreams
Tonight?
I love you . . .
And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make.
