My mews, or hawk house, passed the State inspection :-) It now houses Tara, my Red-Tail hawk.

I have found it interesting that many of our family ancestors in Scotland were also falconers. Their bird of choice would have been the northern goshawk. Sir Walter Scott even wrote a wee bit about one of my ancestral kin and his falcon. I also have a cousin in Canada who is a falconer - must be something genetic :-)
