Photo a Day, Day 61... Took some shots of bees in poppies this morning but this turned out so much better! Lighting was wrong on the poppies as they were in the shade..
This guy has lived under our deck for at least the past 2 yrs and thanks to him, we don't have mice living there! The Milk Snake is commonly mistaken for the poisonous Copperhead however this guy is just a friendly non-poisonous mouse eater. The Copperhead is a viper and therefore has a large triangular head. It also lacks the light colored "Y" marking on the top of the head which is an identifing mark for the Milk Snake.
