Village

This is shot I took before a festival they were soon going to be setting up for. Our villa was just outside this lovely little village.
The gentleman walking in the foreground...always wore knickers and high boots. Often wanted to go over and talk to him...but never did, much to my chagrin.
The scene reminded me of an old postcard collection I have, hand painted in pastel shades & faded now...this is my meager attempt to replicate the look of it.:o)

This reminds me of villages of south america. The processing works quite well.

I see you had a perfect image to
work with, Carol. It still brings to
mind that story for me.... And now this
tiny little village, resting so beautifully
at the foot of the mountain, became a happy
and joyful place to live.

And a happy, joyful place to visit. ~Bon

This image is a story itself, but I'm sure the man has many. His style of dress is interesting & so is your image. ~vote

Reminds me of FLavia Weedn storybook we have somewhere. The Ragged Peddler story who taught a town about happiness. I'm sure the gentleman held many stories but you've allowed us to use our imagination and make our own. Your treatment tells a beautiful story, too, Carol.

This is wonderful scene. I don't know what the postcard looked like but I would say this is excellent! It definitely looks like an old postcard and the faded effect is so perfect for this. GMV4S
