John, you are probably correct but all along I've thought it was a Scotch Pine.
I'll have to look into your identification after all these years, it would be
good to get it right.lol

Beautiful portrait - the snow caught along the tops of the branches is perfectly done and highlights the stripes on the individual needles. Botany-check - looks more spruce or true-fir than pine, but I could be wrong. John
