One-lane RR bridge.jpg

This very old one-lane bridge goes over the old Chicago-Northwestern RR tracks. I don't know who owns the tracks now. One train a week goes out to Eden, Wisconsin where there is a cannery and to Marblehead, Wisconsin where there is a limestone quarry. The track goes no further and they just turn around and come back to Fond du Lac before going elsewhere. This bridge is about a half-mile from my house on a road leading out into the countryside.

Cindy,I'm a former FDL resident now in Texas. I was looking for this bridge during my April 2005 trip to Fondy. In the 1950's my dad would take our family to this bridge at about 6pm Sunday evenings to watch a Steam Locomotive pass underneath. As a child I was frightened because the white cloud of smoke completely enveloped the bridge and our car, not to mention the noise. Can you write me at pcrepair@consolidated.net to let me know what county road this bridge is on? It is somewhere near Eden as I remember. Thanks.
