Trying A new Program

Kanopolis State Park

This is a new program that radically edits landscapes with presets and sliders. It has great potential but at the same time it looks like it has a learning curve too.

0.00s full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Same here!! Capturing the Milky Way is on my short to do list! To be successful I need to drive to a dark sky area I know of in the flint hills a couple hours south of here with clear and moonless sky. Clear and moonless don’t always conside with each other tho. Paul

So the milky way is essentially pasted in stock imagery?
I would be more impressed if you had captured it.

Done, the original from my iphone is in pending.

It has a milky way background file it uses along with dozens and dozens of others. I'll upload the original in Pending.

How was a milky way effect achieved with a daytime photo?
Your camera (type not shown) must have tremendous dynamic range.

Honestly I don’t know since I haven’t dove that deep into it yet. I know there are countless skies one can choose I just picked this one since it was so radically different but there are many ones that are more subtle. I’d suggest you go to the website for a look and possibly download of a trial for your self. Paul

Program looks interesting.
Can you feed it your own skies?

The program is called landscape pro and is made by the same makers of Portrait Pro, a program I used to have and use when I was doing portraits for the BSA. They offer a free trial which I’m exploring at the moment and it does offer radical adjustments. The original of this was a daytime photo in bright sunlight and blue skies.
