They are playing "coach pitch" softball at this age, 8. They get 10 pitches. And this was not the swing that produced the real contact for a hit, it was fouled off. The girls in this city league at this age play primarily for the social aspect - and color of the uniforms is one of the important items. Then, of course, NO ONE wears simple black or white shoes ! Heaven forbid! G'pa Jim

STRIKE 3 YOUR OUT! Grandpa please help me I can’t keep my eyes on the ball. I have to agree with Dave about the uniforms, very girly now if we could get matching batting helmets. Im enjoying how this has turned from a practical challenge to a creative thinking one. Paul
