I have 2 adaptors, the MC-11, and the Metabones gen 5.
It's kind of a long story. I've been kind of under whelmed with Canon lately, and been thinking about a switch to Sony.
I've heard good things about Sony, so to add to my old Nex 7, I bought an a6300.
The a6300 is ok, but because the viewfinder is off to one side, I find it tough to get a shot lined up with longer glass.
So I read more, watched move videos on the Sony line of cameras. Found out how good the canon lenses were
working on the latest models. So I bought the MC-11 first, and it works pretty well, but there is one thing it can't do
and that's use EF-S lenses. They don't fit. So after some more reading, I find out the MB adaptors can take EF-S lenses.
For the most part, I've used the MC-11 adaptor 95% of the time. I've only used the MB to try out some EF-S lenses.
Both have worked really well for me. The a7III is really a great camera, and it is going to replace a few of my Canons.
I'm probably going to keep my 80D for the reach, but I'm thinking the rest of them are going to go ... soon.
I think the biggest problem with the adapted lenses are with focusing while taking a video. Not so much stills.
Sure, it's probably not quite as fast to focus as native glass. If you do a 15 shot rapid fire test, a shot or two will be out of focus,
of course thirteen will be great. There aren't many trade offs for what I'm using it for.

Looks more like a backseat driver to me (even before reading davev's comment). That's a four-door Wrangler. Near-perfect angle for the illusion.

Thanks guys.
The dog is in the back seat, so no laws where broken. :D
There was a group of us taking photos of loons on the lake, when this jeep drove by.
One of the women there said, You don't see that everyday.
I was the only one to step out and grab a shot of it, cause I've never seen it before.
I found it really odd that the people there had probably taken a few hundred shots of the loons,
but no one turned their cameras for a truly rare sighting. It confuses me sometimes.

Gotta love it. In our area, we see a lot of "retired" dogs riding around in golf carts. It is hilarious to see a big retriever sitting up straight in the passenger seat and keeping an eye out for where he is going.

I will say that he appears to be driving exceptionally well...a dog that drives well is always good to see.

Way too cool, write that dog up for driving without a license! Im assuming thats the same lens you use with the canon, what adapter do you use and overall how would you rate the auto focus performance. I have read where non Sony lenses don’t always AF as well with adapters. Paul
