I have been looking at this quite a bit - and I take a lot of bird shots. I am growing to like this a lot. Rarely do you see a shot from above like this. The lighting is quite good for this view. You can easily ID the bird Now you just need a 200 - 300 mm lens to "fill the frame".
Call me odd but the angle don't bother me at all. I especially like the long shadow projected by him or her which ever it is. I'd call it "Searching" Paul
