The Horse

Minneapolis, MN

At the Mall of America.
This looked much better in person. When I view the original photo, I think it is much too busy. In this version I darkened and slightly desaturated the background objects.
It will probably be sacrificed later to something I really like.

Thanks. I just thought that the horse got "lost in the lights" of the original shot. What puzzles me is that when I saw it live, I got more of impression of this type of shot where I saw the horse quite clearly. The brain can do funny things.

That horse signifies indian heritage and country, which I by the way live in. Actually I'm confident I have native american blood in me. I remember once as a youth I was at some event in Horton Kansas (Kickapoo tribe) and I was talking to a full blood indian friend of mine and we were able to backtrack and determine that we were something like 16th cousins if there is such a thing. I've considered sending off for one of those DNA such as Ancestery.com offers to verify my complete bloodline heritage. Paul

I don''t know, the business is the point, I think. This is not a classic carousel horse...It is weird....and so interesting? Best Wishes, Traveller
