It is still a little too busy maybe...but one very good thing about the Challenge, (and potential participants should recognize this value), is the fact that you have to work with what you have.
I was far out on a pier, I tried to fame this as a negative space image...the image was much foggier before a second heavy blast of Contrast (saturation, Contrast, minus shadows and highlights were done in DPP); the ships were painted with a fine Dodge brush....a slight tug on Curves up helped a bit also.
