Turning To The Right

The lighting upgrade job I've been working lately this lift is a invaluable tool. Right along with the tape measure and the cordless drill. Just out of the frame is a tool we call a Rotosplit. It splits the metal jacket on the MC cable for clean and easy removal. It's worth its weight in gold.

(further thought....we have so much fun at this....at least I do....I remain a little surprised why our group has dwindled so...we are a good group....well)

Really...loud cackle out loud....I need to sit down with you and hear these meat house stories...I'd say this terrifies me, (and it does)....but I could tell stories of castrating pigs on the farm and working building trailer trucks....good stories there too....but I still sense that yours are better.

Oh wait, you mean shooting the photo. Yes it was somewhat awkward. Paul

I see you've never used a scissor lift before. The drive controller is designed to be used with one's right hand. Now and then I will use both hands if the lift is jerking around more than usual but normally you use the right hand no matter which hand is your dominate hand. As for me I am fairly ambidextrous. I have greater strength and better overall control from the right but at the same time my fine motor skills are better from my left side. Many many moons ago when I worked on the kill floor of a beef slaughter house we had to use the knife equally skillful using both hands to get the job done and at 180 head an hour you had to be fast and good. 5 years of that might have help refine that skill. I like all the gritty busyness of this image...I do have one complaint though....shouldn't it be your left hand on this handle? This right hand position just looks awkward...or are you a lefty, shooting with your left hand held high? Best Wishes, Traveller

Now this is a "working man's" set of tools. Very nice capture.
I really like the box on the right - it shows a lot of use and character.
