Fresh Paint

Go figure! I put a fresh coat of high gloss black paint on a sheet of metal to use for photography projects and placed it outside to dry when a few friends from above dropped by for a visit. As the old saying goes..... "That's gonna leave a mark"!

Oh, wait are you talking about the blue shading/streaks or the highlights on the leaf. If the streaks are what you are asking about then I used a cucoloris to create the pattern. Paul

I have this same image in another challenge at another site and was asked the same question about the blue highlights. I think it was when I was experimenting with a small led flashlight for fill. It didn't fill but did highlite.

After the leaves fell on the sheet I was angry at myself for being dumb placing it outside to dry. Then I thought what the heck shoot it like this since the story is more interesting than the image. I took it into my little DIY studio and shot. Paul

Maybe frame the whole piece. This is fine art.

Very nice and elegant entry - not very clear what are these blue spots?

Except now I'll need to touch up the area where the leaves fell (there were a few others out of the FOV) or possibly another full coat of paint. I was going to clear coat on it to further enhance the reflective properties but so far I like what I see even if I did have to make moderate use of the healing brush. Paul

Very nice, professional...and cleanly elegant. A mark, so what? This is well done...Traveller
