4th Place Milton Loch

I had to do a bit of work to lift the shadows and reduce the noise but the colour in the sky was basically as you see it here. It felt like a scene out of Armageddon, quite unbelievable! I felt extremely lucky to have seen it....mind you I did get out of my bed before 4am!

Take it easy, Paul: For us sleepers, they they put the same show on a few hours later at the end of December (it may be cold then, though)! Nice and very special image, Car629: I like it. ~ db.

After seeing this mirror lake surface, WoW colors and the perfect angle I'd say getting up at 4 was worth it. Maybe I should try it some day! Then again, maybe not some farmer would shoot me for trespassing! Paul
