Paul, I think that "little ball" is a seed pod from the green vine; though it could also be a nut. Re color - we get a variety of colors of mushrooms, depending a lot on the type of material that is decaying underground. While many are white or cream colored, this one is similar to what I posted last challenge, which was even more unusual.
That is some mushroom you have there, very colorful. That's a little unusual color for mushrooms! What is that little round ball shaped item in the lower left corner. Paul
