10 stop ND failure

I've long said I am not a landscape photographer. Great LS photography is hard and I'm not good enough to do it well.
4.5 minutes with a 10 stop filter.

Canon EOS 50D
283s f/16.0 at 17.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Edit: After thinking about it and recalculating it's a 10 stop ND, not 20. DUH :-\

Good decision.

I strongly agree with your decision to swap the images Paul. This is a really compelling image; beautiful, moody and mysterious. Not a failure at all, although, maybe not what you were looking for. Very nice work!

By popular request (2 out of 3 commenters) I've reversed my entries. Paul

Well, have it your way....honorable people can honorably disagree...this is very good, the current image in Exhibition vastly less so. But you are the boss of your universe. Best Wishes, Traveller

I don't know guys, it's just missing something, lots of somethings.......... And actually if you saw how it came out of the camera with zero processing you would regurgitate. Maybe I'll post that one in pending too just don't eat breakfast beforehand. Paul

I agree totally Traveller! I think this image is stunning looking. Well conceived and the composition is spot on. I love getting these types of shots personally. You did well here Paul!

Of course you can do it well...this is wonderful and tells me I need a ND myself. Thanks for posting this. Best Wishes, Traveller
