The concept of the hat dropping into a painting like setting is quite clever. The effect definitely works better with this image.

I modified this a bit - warmed it up and changed the background with a touch of painting.

Composition wise I prefer this one. But like the warmer colors in the other. Overall I give this one the slighter edge. As the other is just begging to be modeled. Perhaps a close up with a glimpse of a lady's face.
