1st: Westgate Bridge Again - By Michael Kilpatrick

My photo walk group has had something of a Westgate Bridge theme lately. I got out of bed at 5.00 AM today to meet them for a shoot.

This sure has a lot going for it. Its got everything - leading lines, reflections, symmetry, graphic shapes. Well worth the crawl out of bed.

Michael, I am probably going to join another camera club this spring. There are a couple in downtown Minneapolis, about 30 min away. I hope that there will be some smaller groups that break off now and then for walks or tours like this.

That's a pity Jim. I suppose I'm lucky in that this group is a result of a camera club that I used to attend that morphed into a photo walk group, so I already knew everyone. If this wasn't available though, there are other meet-up groups here in Melbourne. I'd imagine there would be similar groups in Minneapolis.... maybe? Regards, Michael

I'm with Sierra -- I wish I had a photo walk group. I joined a local (different suburb of Minneapolis) camera club last year and tried to encourage something like that - but there was really no interest.

Thanks everyone. Najinsky, there were 10 of us. That's the most we have had, despite the early start. There are no other OM-D users. One Sony and the others are all Canon or Nikon. It's a comfortably sized group and we had breakfast in a nearby restaurant after we finished shooting. I wouldn't get up that early to go out alone, so it works well for me. Regards, Michael

What a lovely morning for a walk - and one that inspired this nice shot.

Your effort was so worth it!! Wonderful shot w vivid hues of early light!! Your camera angle made a fascinating comp. Great clarity, too. Shu

I like this bridge, even with the high voltage towers in the BG. Paul
