funny---i have a cat that looks just like this. except she has the blond "stripe" from her mouth down under her chin. btw, is your cat close and friendly? our's is quite aloof. just wondering. shu

Thanks, everyone. This was my entry in a local city’s summer festival photo contest (which, alas, I did not win). The contest theme was, “Everybody Reads.” I forget what I used to hold the book in place and open, but I used a feather to induce Kelly to jump up onto the couch and to pause by the book. The camera and flash were on separate tripods, and I had a wired remote trigger. It took about a dozen tries to get this shot, where Kelly is actually looking at the book.
