Well, I grew up on a farm....eating squirrel & rabbit and...what became pets ended up being food. We were very poor but very happy....it was a good childhood without running water or indoor plumbing....the winter run to the outhouse was...difficult.

I still dream happily about it.

My neighbor is a chef...he tells me dove is better and softer than Kobe Beef....I don't know. (rabbit is tough....lol)

From a photographic point of view a good photo of an uncommon subject. But, as I have to admit, I am in doubt that it quickens my appetite; I prefer doves alive. (Would they fit into 10'' boxes?) -Gerald

Actually, it is the breast of a dove...pierced by a shotgun pellet.

I saw a neighbor cleaning a bunch of birds, apparently dove season just opened, and asked....What in the world are you doing!?!

Rather than eat it, as offered after being cooked, I took a picture.

The image is odd....but then, so is real life.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Given that I am in the middle of breakfast, I am telling myself that you are holding a piece of red potato. But thanks for getting us started.

I always said you wear your heart on your sleeve, looks like I was out by half a limb.

You seem drawn to body parts recently (eye in sad mango), is it a deliberate trip around the human body or have you been reading too much Shelly (of the Mary kind)?
