Picking up on Mary Anne's comment I think I agree. Although the theme is 'texture' and your shot certainly highlights this in the beautiful rust patterns, because the door knob and escutcheon plate 'make themselves' a key subject then perhaps they should be sharper.
Perhaps in hindsight, stopping down the lens to f16 or so may have been better? ( just a thought)... or perhaps a little more selective sharpening just on the knob and the lock might work as well?
Regardless of this it is a very good composition ~ Regards Bob

Thanks Traveller & Mary Anne. I'm terrible with titles. I don't even remember until after I've posted, that I need a title. It was late; I guess I was thinking that the door was returning to the earth (it's laying there in the grass, rusting away).
Mary Anne, I was thinking the same thing about the door knob. I'm still learning to use that nifty fifty. I did get some great shots with the doorknob sharp, but I liked this angle better. I might make it back this week and try it again with more dof.
