Very funny, indeed, Pops! And in my opinion "self-explaining": No exegeses needed... ;-) -- db.

Kelly,

I have often been accused of being a lot smarter and a lot funnier than I think I am, especially the funny part. I'll say things that have a deeper meaning or humor than I realized when I said them. On retrospect sometimes I surprise myself.

One strong aspect of my personality is I'll always go for the humor first.

I posted this for the irony. A tripod is a solid foundation for a camera. So, I guess, is a headstone especially when the name is Tripod. No other message was intended.

But if you want to read another message into it, that is, as I understand it, what "art" is about. Perhaps this photograph has eclipsed the "artist" intentions.

Actually, Pops, it's a good question and the image seemingly rather apropos. I mean, a tombstone may very well come to represent an organization that's not interested in bringing in new blood. Is that what you had in mind by posting this? Or is there something else that the General is implying? As a founding father of this group, I'm most interested in what you think and how we might try to bolster new participants if not through outreach.

Funny, but is this on topic?

I could ask the General if he'd like to join us in challenges but I'm afraid I wont be able to motivate him.
