Great warm palette. I wonder how it would look, say, at f8

Great Shot!

Thanks everyone for your comments.

This was most frustrating because I shot this with a micro-window of opportunity because the trees/shrubs made it almost impossible to capture.

I did contemplate 'cloning' out the intrusions but the shadows etc would have made this a mammoth task.

So I guess one could call this an almost rescue from the waste paper bin... lol

Hopefully when I get back from the bush I might have time for something better.

That golden light is wonderful, Bob, but I have to agree with the others that the branches/leaves are distracting. Maybe you could crop some off the left side so that they're at least a smaller part of the image? I think I'd also take some off the bottom in order to avoid making it a square image.

Fabulous evening light, even in the branches, and a nice reflection. -Gerald

Yes, I have to agree with CameraShy09: that branch doesn't help the pic. But I know there was probably not much you could do about it. On the plus side: nice sense of movement and energy, yet also balance / tranquility and so on. The light was stunning. Well done.

Beautiful, golden light and a very dynamic composition. I wish the tree was not getting in the way, but I understand that sometimes those tree branches just up and jump in front of the camera at the most inopportune times. :-) Very nice shot.
