Actually, just an assembly job rather than a recipe, but a true taste of summer, and it looked very pretty, so I had to include it in the gallery!.
Hull strawberries (i.e. remove the green tops), wash them along with some raspberries, drain and place in a serving dish. You can cut the strawberries
in half if you wish – this will produce more juice. Sprinkle with caster sugar and let steep for an hour, to draw out the delicious juices.
Serve with a good dollop of thick cream.
