Launched at the 1959 London Motor Show, it was overshadowed by the BMC Mini. The Ford Anglia went on to be a huge sales success,
though, with over a million of the 105E and more powerful 123E models built before production ended in 1967.
So successful was it that this was the first new car I ever owned (in the 105E form)!
