Thermopolium - Roman fast food – there are many of these small shops or snack-bars, called thermopolia,
dotted around Pompeii, selling drinks and ready-to-eat food in jars sunk into the holes to keep it warm.
This one is the Thermopolium of Vetutius Placidus.
