The Lodge at Manning Park was overrun with these little creatures, rodents in the Sciuridae family,
in between a chipmunk and a marmot. They are distinguished by their ability to stand up erect on
their hind legs for long periods of time, are more gregarious than other squirrels and live in
colonies with complex social structures.
