The Tsar Cannon, in the Kremlin

The Tsar Cannon was cast in 1586; it was never used in a war, though gunpowder residue found during
a recent restoration indicates that it has been fired at least once. The low ratio between calibre
and length means this is technically a mortar rather than a cannon.
