Cathedral of the Assumption, Kremlin

Cathedral of the Assumption. Erected in 1475-79 by Ivan the Great, the cathedral of the Assumption
was the most important church in Moscow. Here, princes were crowned, inaugurations of Tsars and
coronations of Emperors were held, and metropolitans and patriarchs of the Orthodox church were buried.
