The Baptistry of St John, one of the oldest buildings in Florence, built between 1059 and 1128.
It is renowned for its three sets of bronze doors with relief sculptures, the most famous of
which are the east doors (seen here), by Lorenzo Ghiberti, dubbed “the Gates of Paradise”
by Michelangelo.
