Chestnuts roasting on an open fire............

......But first theres the small matter of how to get into them. An hour and several prickled fingers later and we had the grand total of about 20. Hardley rich pickings I know. But free things always taste sweeter.

Great shot Chris. Wish we still had Chestnut trees here. All of ours finished dying from a blight in the 40's. BV

The green casings make a great contrast against the leaves.
