21 Thistle and bee

Onopordum illyricum
To my surprise they are non native to Australia because you see them everywhere.
Somehow they are introduced to Australia and are now considered as noxious weed.
But the bees are enjoying, they can gather a lot of honey.

NZ and Oz have many imported noxious weeds. is bad but not as bad as Gorse in NZ - it's taken over our farmland..

Yeah, we have them here too...EVERYWHERE! I think they are rather pretty, though. Love the capture!

A lot of non-native species are attractive to bees and other insects! We see that here in Canada frequently. Very nice shot!
