30 Xanthorrhoea preissii

Melbourne, Australia

For me this is another amazing native plant.
Xanthorrhoea preissii, with the common name Balga, is a widespread species of perennial monocot in Southwest Australia.
These plants are also known as grasstrees.
These remarkable plants have a lifespan of 600 years but are very slow-growing, about 1 m (3 ft.) in 30 years.

A picture I took in May of this grass tree.

Dit is een hele aparte foto, zo'n foto die je als poster aan je muur hangt. De "ragebollen" op de voorgrond trekken heerlijk je aandacht. VOTED
